In a week's time, the first Czech Cup race will start in white water rafting. Fights for the national team jersey in three age categories will also break out with him. For many competitors, the Senior World Championships is the highlight of the season, which will take place in Treignac, France. The juniors and U23 representatives will have the European Championship, which will take place in Bosnia and Hercagovina.

This year, the rules that previously defined the wildwater boat with two basic parameters have changed. With the introduction of the new rule, one of the parameters that previously bore the typical features of a wildwater boat was canceled. The new restriction only monitors the maximum length, not the width. In previous years, the minimum width was set at 60 cm (K1), 70 cm (C1), 80 cm (C2).

How do kayakers prepare during the winter months, when there are no races and the conditions for training on the water are not always completely optimal? One would say that there is a kind of dead time in the year-round preparation. However, reality is the opposite of this assumption.

The Krumlovský vodácký maraton took place in the second weekend of October. This year, the marathon celebrated its adulthood for the second time. Last year, due to a pandemic, this spectacular event was canceled and the eighteenth year could take place very intently. This year we remained stronger and the largest boating marathon in Europe could take place again.

The Bratislava course tested the world's most successful competitors. After two years, the world championships of two water disciplines (slalom and wildwater sprint) took place again. The busy program of the championship started the team race. The next day, sprinters entered the qualifying fights. Saturday's final decided the new champions.

Adam Satke, Martina Satková and Gabriela Satková. Who wouldn't know them? Three resounding names that almost every racer knows. Although they grew up together in Brno, their paths parted ways. Although everyone trains in a different city, they are still united by a passion for canoeing, discipline and determination. At the moment, all three have met at the championship in Bratislava, where they will represent the Czech colors.

The Czech Republic Sprint Championship closed the Czech Cup in wild water. In the first weekend of September (04. – 05.09) several decisive races took place. On Saturday, there was a fight for championship titles in the team race, Sunday belonged to individual fights. Sunday's race decided on the new champions of the republic, on the overall ranking of the Czech Cup and also on the nomination for the upcoming world championship, which will take place at the end of September in Bratislava. The race also included the European Cup, which was attended by a total of seven countries

Nové mistry České republiky v dlouhém sjezdu proškolila divoká řeka Vltava. Pod lipenskou přehradou, která se pouští jen jednou ročně, proběhl sedmý Český Pohár a zároveň mistrovský šampionát ve sjezdu na divoké vodě. Novopečeným mistrem na singlkanoi se stal Ondřej Rolenc. Mezi kajakářkami zazářila Zuzana Dziadková. Po třetí v řadě obhájil dres šampiona Adam Satke. Mezi ženami, tentokrát na singlkanoi dominovala Marie Němcová a pro čtvrté vítězství v této disciplíně si dojela posádka Daniela Suchánka a Ondřeje Rolence na deblkanoi.

The European wildwater Championships kicked off on Wednesday 25 August. Competitors from the juniors and U23 took part in the start of the championship. A total of seventeen European countries are taking part in the race. The majority countries in this sport, such as the Czech Republic, France, Germany and Italy, are among the absolute world leaders. The Czech team has a total of thirty-four representatives.

The team sprint closed the European Championship in Saber, Spain. The second half of the championship took place on the spritn channel. On Friday (13.08) were the first and second qualifying races in all categories. The next day (14.08) the finals took place in the morning and at the end the team race took place.
